Mission Study - Session 6 (2/19/2004)

OUR HOPES FOR OUR CONGREGATION

FROM THE MISSION STUDY PARTICIPANTS

I hope for more active leadership.

I hope P&A finds a way to show leadership and handle concerns.

I hope that all the wonderful ideas have the people and resources available to achieve them.

I hope that God gives the congregation wisdom and understanding in finishing the Mission Design.

I hope that members will be interested in the Mission Design and prove willing to support efforts to make this church a more faithful part of the body of Christ.

I hope that our congregation will join in the church at all levels.

I hope that the church accepts the results of the Mission Design and moves forward with enthusiasm.

I hope that the church can move forward in a positive way.

I hope that the church will become more united.

I hope that the congregation heals through this process and continues to grow in enthusiasm.

I hope that the congregation learns to compromise with love and caring.

I hope that the congregation pays attention to the results of the mission study.

I hope that the congregation will feel that the decisions were good.

I hope that the congregation's interest and desire is reflected in our recommendations.

I hope that the Mission Design exercise is fruitful.

I hope that the session reviews the Mission Design, prays about it, and works faithfully to implement it.

I hope that this congregation can come closer together as the body of Christ in carrying out this Mission Design.

I hope that this congregation can do at least 25% of mission study this coming year.

I hope that this congregation could make a gym or area for fun and activities for celebration.

I hope that this congregation will become more aware of the concerns as expressed in these priorities and respond positively.

I hope that this congregation will grow in member participation, increase their giving so we can hire more ministers and that the leadership in the church will keenly listen to the problems the members are having with the church and work with them to resolve the problems.

I hope that this design fairly represents the views of the congregation.

I hope that this Mission Design will lead us forward.

I hope that this results in a decision to hire a new assistant minister.

I hope that we become financially stable and spiritually sound

I hope that we can all love God and each other enough to work together in our mission, for the good of the church.

I hope that we can hire an associate pastor in the very near future, one that is personable and wants to know the members.

I hope that we grow a sa congregation and in staff.

I hope that we have adequate pastoral staff and Christian Education Director.

I hope that we have shown and now know we have needs.  Very enlightening.

I hope that we hire an Associate Pastor for Christian Education as soon as possible.

I hope that we recruit new associate pastor.

I hope that we will all work together to better support church activities.

I hope that we will find the resources to employ another associate pastor.

I hope that we would go forward with membership and stewardship.

I hope that we, the church, can take what has come from this study and apply it as needed.

I hope that what has been voted on this evening will be communicated to the entire congregation.

I hope the congregation increases growth spiritually and more members become willing to dedicate their energy, time, ability and resources

I hope the congregation will energetically support the Mission Design and actively participate in bringing it to fruition.

I hope this congregation can grow and continue to learn about the study of God's word for us all.

I hope we put Worship and Celebration at #1, Member Care #2, Evangelism #3, and Outreach #4.

I hope we will increase to 2 ministers and 2 Sunday services as soon as possible.

I pray that the congregation will embrace the importance of spiritually nurturing all of its members so that this church will grow.
